Los Angeles’ Gefffen Playhouse recently celebrated the opening of Lynn Nottage‘s By the Way, Meet Vera Stark. Running through October 28, the production is directed by Jo Bonney.
Sanaa Lathan leads the cast in the title role. She is joined by Kimberly Hébert Gregory, Merle Dandridge, Amanda Detmer, Kevin Carroll, Spencer Garrett, and Mather Zickel.
Guests at the opening included Angela Bassett, Richard Chamberlain, Taylor Hackford, and Lesley Ann Warren.
