Playwright Neil LaBute will participate in post-show discussions of his Broadway play reasons to be pretty at the Lyceum Theatre, following the Saturday, May 9 evening performance, moderated by Andrew McCarthy, and the Sunday, May 10 matinee, moderated by Christopher Meloni.

LaBute will talk about the themes in his plays, offer insight into his Broadway debut, and provide the opportunity for audience members to ask questions. The post-show conversations will be offered free of charge to anyone purchasing a ticket to that performance.

As previously announced, LaBute, director Terry Kinney, and cast members of reasons to be pretty will discuss the work at Borders Columbus Circle at 5 pm on Saturday, May 9.

The play stars Marin Ireland, Steven Pasquale, Piper Perabo, and Thomas Sadoski. It concerns Greg (Sadoski), a factory worker whose life is thrown into turmoil when he makes an offhand remark about his girlfriend’s face. The play has been nominated for numerous Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards.
