Lisa Arrindell Anderson, Lou Myers, and Count Stovall will join Terrence Howard, Anika Noni Rose, James Earl Jones, Phylicia Rashad, and Giancarlo Esposito in the upcoming Broadway revival of Tennessee Williams’ Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, to be directed by Debbie Allen. The show will begin performances at the Broadhurst Theater on February 12, with an official opening scheduled for March 6.

Williams’ play searingly portrays a dysfunctional Southern family, including Maggie “the Cat,” (Rose) her alcoholic husband, Brick (Howard), and his parents, the dominating family patriarch, Big Daddy (Jones), and his wife Big Mama (Rashad).

The creative team will include Ray Klausen (sets), Jane Greenwood (costumes), and William Grant (lighting). Allen is well known as a choreographer for stage, film, and television, having won many awards for her work. As an actress, she is also a two-time Tony Award nominee for West Side Story and Sweet Charity. She and Rashad, who originally performed under the name of Phylicia Ayers-Allen, are sisters.
