Alex Ellis and Chuck Ragsdale will lead Maine State Music Theatre’s production of Legally Blonde the Musical, running June 27-July 14 at the Pickard Theater.
Marc Robin directs and choreographs the production, in which Ellis, who has been seen on Broadway in Catch Me if You Can and On A Clear Day, You Can See Forever, will star as Elle Woods to Ragsdale’s Emmett Forrest.
They are joined by Lauren Blackman (Vivienne Kensington), Jessica Lee Goldyn (Brooke Windham), Ken Land, Charis Leos (Paulette), Matthew Ragas (Warner), Courtney Romano (Serena), Lara Hayhurst (Margot), Emmeline Wood (Pilar), Curt Dale Clark (Kyle the UPS Guy), Brian Michael Hoffman (Elle’s father/Dewey), Birdie Newman Katz (Elle’s mother), Buddy Reeder, and Nick Venditi. Chico and Nelli, dogs rescued by animal trainer William Berloni, portray Bruiser, Elle’s Chihuahua, and Rufus, Paulette’s English bulldog.
Legally Blonde the Musicalis based on the popular novel and film of the same name, and features a score by Lawrence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, with a book by Heather Hach.
