Alan Jay Lerner to Be Honored With Plaque on June 14 in London

Lyricist Alan Jay Lerner will be honored with a plaque at St Paul’s Church Covent Garden on Tuesday, June 14, the 25th anniversary of his death.

Lerner’s many stage credits include Brigadoon, My Fair Lady, Paint Your Wagon, and Camelot. He won Oscars for his work on the original musical films An American in Paris and Gigi.


The unveiling of the plaque will include a special presentation, to be produced by Lerner’s wife Liz Robertson, and which will include direction by Hugh Woolridge and musical direction by David Firman and Jason Carr.
