Playwrights Horizons has announced complete casting for its fall production of A Life, a world-premiere play by Adam Bock. Directed by Anne Kauffman, the production will begin performances September 30 in advance of an October 24 opening and will run through November 13.

Joining the previously announced David Hyde Pierce in the cast will be Cindy Cheung (Iowa), Brad Heberlee (Small Mouth Sounds), Nedra McClyde (Mr. Burns), and Lynne McCollough (Angels in America).

The story follows Nate Martin (Pierce), a man who turns to the stars after his most recent breakup casts him into a funk. Poring over astrological charts, he obsessively questions his past and his place in the cosmos.

The production's creative team will feature scenic design by Laura Jellinek, costume design by Jessica Pabst, lighting design by Matt Frey, and sound design by Mikhail Fiksel. The production stage manager will be Erin Gioia Albrecht.
