Applications are now open for submission for all of the 2019 residency programs at SPACE on Ryder Farm — a nonprofit residency program for artists and activists located on a 223-year-old working organic farm in Brewster, New York. The deadline to submit applications for the June-October 2019 season, available here, is now 11:59pm EST on October 8.

SPACE on Ryder Farm provides nearly 150 residents each season with the opportunity to focus on their work away from the stress and noise of everyday life. Residencies at SPACE are self-determined to meet the needs of each individual resident or group, and are centered around three communal farm fresh meals daily. Residents are provided housing, meals, artistic support, and access to 127 acres of organic farmland, just 90 minutes outside of New York City. SPACE's main residency season is June-October each year.

New for 2019, SPACE will also accept applications from resident alumni to return to the farm for a Season Extension Residency in February 2019. Applications for the Season Extension Residency only are due by Monday, September 10, at 11:59pm EST.

Two information sessions for prospective applicants will be offered in New York and online with SPACE's program staff. The in-person session will take place August 29 at 6:30pm at 440 Lafayette Street. An online info session will be live-streamed on August 30 at 12:30pm via Facebook Live. Registration is required.
