Brian d’Arcy James, Patti LuPone, Brian Stokes Mitchell to Perform at New Nightclub Venue 54 Below

Two-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone will open the new restaurant/nightclub space 54 Below, located downstairs from Studio 54, with a two-week engagement in June. Scott Wittman will serve as creative consultant for the club’s booking with Phil Geoffrey Bond as director of programming.

Among the other artists who have confirmed that they will perform at the new venue are Ben Vereen, Brian d’Arcy James, Megan Hilty, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Linda Lavin, Andrea Martin, Rebecca Luker, Julia Murney, Jackie Hoffman, Lea DeLaria, Eden Espinosa, Michael Arden, Tony DeSare, and Mx Justin Vivian Bond.

The space has been designed by Richard H. Lewis along with the Tony Award winning scenic designer John Lee Beatty. Ken Billington, also a Tony Award winner, has designed the lighting. Sound will be by Tony Award nominee Peter Hylenski.


Restaurateur Danny Meyer and his Union Square Hospitality Group, which runs such eateries as Gramercy Tavern and Shake Shack, will consult on the menu.
