UnsungMusicalsCo. will continue its 2014 Unsung concert series at 54 Below with Unsung Bob Merrill on August 5. The concert will be directed by Ben West with musical direction and arrangements by Fran Minarik.

Tony nominee Tom Wopat (The Trip to Bountiful) will be the evening's host. Additional performers will include Anastasia Barzee (Jekyll & Hyde), Erin Davie (Grey Gardens), Rebecca Faulkenberry (Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark), Karen Mason (Mamma Mia!), and Christine Pedi (Chicago). Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

Bob Merrill's musical catalogue ranges from signature pop standards, such as "Mambo Italiano," to his award-winning Broadway musicals Carnival and Funny Girl. Unsung Bob Merrill will highlight the Tony nominee's lesser-known works. The evening will also feature rare audio clips of the songwriter himself.

In addition, Unsung Carolyn Leigh, Vol. 2 will be presented November 20, with casting to be announced shortly.

UnsungMusicalsCo. is a not-for-profit production company dedicated to the preservation of musical theater through the presentation of obscure but artistically sound works with a focus primarily on overlooked projects from the Golden Age of musical theater.
