Walton to Join Duncan, Liberman, Myers, et al. for York's Minnie's Boys
Featuring music by Larry Grossman, lyrics by Hal Hackady and book by Arthur Marx and Robert Fisher, the show was loosely inspired by the early adventures of the Marx Brothers. The original Broadway production opened on March 26, 1970 at the Imperial Theatre and ran for 80 performances.
As previously announced, Pamela Myers will star as Minnie Marx. The cast will also include Dan Bogart (Herbie/Zeppo), Ryan Duncan (Leonard/Chico), Nick Gaswirth (Adolph/Harpo), Beth Glover (Mrs. McNish), Erik Liberman (Julie/Groucho), Don Mayo (Albie), Nancy McCall (Mrs. Flanigan), Emily Shoolin (Miss Murdock), Kelly Sullivan (Cindy) and Stuart Zagnit (Sam Marx).
The Mufti season, all devoted to works by Grossman, will also include Grind (June 13-15), about a Chicago burlesque house, and Goodtime Charley (June 27-29), which focuses on Joan of Arc and King Charles VII. The series will conclude with a special revue of Grossman's songs (July 11-13), which will kick off the York's NEW2NY concert series to run in July and August.
