The benefit performance will also feature Jeff Blumenkrantz, Jennifer Cody, and Don Darryl Rivera.
Jeff Blumenkrantz, John Bolton, Jennifer Cody, Don Darryl Rivera, Matthew Scott, Christopher Sieber, and Betsy Wolfe are set to star in a one-night benefit concert presentation of Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol on December 15 at Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College. Peter Flynn will direct, with musical direction by Emmy Award winner John McDaniel, and choreography by Marcos Santana.
Based on the prime-time animated holiday special, Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol is being presented onstage for the first time. Featuring a score by Funny Girl songwriting team Jule Styne and lyricist Bob Merrill, the show is a retelling of the Dickens classic, featuring the comically myopic cartoon character Quincy Magoo.
Proceeds from the evening will benefit the programs and services of The Actors Fund, a national human services organization that provides help for everyone in performing arts and entertainment.
