Say Goodnight Gracie, Rupert Holmes's one-man comedy about the legendary comedy team of George Burns and his wife Gracie Allen, has announced that it will close at Broadway's Helen Hayes Theatre on August 24.

The show, which stars Frank Gorshin, won't be away long, however. Its First National Tour is slated to begin at Connecticut's Hartford Stages on September 2, with additional stops currently scheduled in Washington, D.C., Palm Beach, Boston, and Wilmington. The production was directed by John Tillinger.

In their review of the show for TheaterMania, Barbara and Scott Siegel wrote, "The palpable presence of Gracie Allen is everywhere in this loving show business tribute. In its gentle way, this show is really about Gracie and how much George loved her. By virtue of its story detailing the lives and careers of these two icons, it is also a fascinating personalized history of twentieth century entertainment that includes vaudeville, radio, television, and film."
