RAIN - A Tribute to The Beatles On Broadway Recoups Investment; Holiday Shows Added
RAIN offers a full range of The Beatles' discography live onstage, including songs that the group recorded in the studio but never performed for an audience. The concert aims to recapture The Beatles in all of the phases, including their historic concert at Shea Stadium, their work in the late 60s, and their long-haired hippie, hard-rocking rooftop days. The multimedia production offers a fusion of historical footage and live camera-work.
The company features the creators of the production, who are also its original band: Joey Curatolo (vocals, bass, guitar, piano), Joe Bithorn (vocals, lead guitar, guitar synthesizer), Ralph Castelli (vocals, drums, percussion), Steve Landes (vocals, guitar, piano, harmonica), and Mark Lewis (keyboards, percussion).
As previously reported, RAIN will end its run at the Neil Simon on January 15, before reopening at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on February 8. The US national tour of RAIN resumes performances in Pittsburgh at the Heinz Hall on January 11, 2011.
