Quentin Earl Darrington to Star in Reading of New Musical, Ocean in a Teacup

Quentin Earl Darrington, who starred in last season’s Broadway revival of Ragtime, will be featured in a reading of the new musical, Ocean in a Teacup, to be presented at the Roy Arias Theater, on Monday, December 20 at 7pm. Jamibeth Margolis will direct the performance, which is part of the 10th annual TRU (Theater Resources Unlimited) Musical Reading Series.
Set during and after WWII, the musical is based on a true story about a disillusioned American who seeks redemption in war-torn India. It features book and music by Joel Krantz, and lyrics by Krantz and Neil Selden. The cast will also include Meggie Cansler, Evan Edwards, Sevan Greene, Kevin Melendez, Jessica Mortellaro, Soneela Nankani, Chloe Patellis, and Will Ray.
The reading will be followed by a reception and then a “Dollars and Sense” panel featuring prominent commercial producers, general managers and/or marketing experts.
