Gay Marriage Gets "Oprahfied"
Rachel Dunham, the Australian star of NYMF's ''Oprahfication'', and her partner took advantage of New York's commitment to marriage equality.
Rachel Dunham, star of NYMF's Oprahfication, certainly shares her subject's can-do attitude. Because gay marriage is not legal in Dunham's home country of Australia, the actress and her partner Sara "Trev" Trevorrow took matters into their own hands (10,000 miles away).
Two weeks before Dunham was due to travel to New York City for Oprahfication's New York Musical Theater Festival debut, she and Trevorrow celebrated a commitment ceremony in front of all their family and friends. The couple planned to honeymoon in New York.
But Dunham and Trevorrow decided to take Oprah's "Go big or go home" motto to heart. While in the Big Apple, they decided to make it official by going to City Hall and having a small marriage ceremony. Because when gay marriage gets "Oprahfied," it's go big then go home.
Check out the pictures from the adorable City Hall ceremony.
