Liza Minnelli to Appear in Netflix’s Arrrested Development

Tony Award and Academy Award winner Liza Minnelli will appear in the 10-episode Netflix version of Arrested Development, which is set to debut in 2013, according to TVGuide.com. Minnelli will reprise her role as Lucille Austero.

The reboot of the former FOX series about a dysfunctional family stars Jeffrey Tambor and Jessica Walter, as well as Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Portia de Rossi, Michael Cera, Tony Hale, David Cross, Alia Shawkat, Henry Winkler, and John Slattery.

Minnelli’s most recent Broadway show, Liza’s at the Palace, won a 2009 Tony for Best Special Theatrical Event. She also won Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Musical for Flora the Red Menace and The Act. She won the Academy Award for Cabaret and the Emmy Award for Liza With a “Z“.
