Wonder Musical, Based on the Novel by R.J. Palacio, Is in the Works

Hamilton producer Jill Furman is developing R.J. Palacio's novel Wonder into an upcoming stage musical. Additional information, including creative team and timeline, will be announced in the coming weeks, according to Deadline.
Wonder tells the story of Auggie Pullman, a boy born with a rare facial deformity, and his transition into a mainstream public school in fifth grade. A 2017 film, directed by Stephen Chbosky, starred Julia Roberts, Jacob Tremblay, and Owen Wilson.
Film studio Lionsgate is developing the musical with Fuhrman and Palacio.
