Flashback Friday: Dame Angela Lansbury Hasn't Aged a Day Since This 1966 What's My Line? Clip
Which explains why the recent American Theatre Wing honoree is ready to jet across the U.S. in Blithe Spirit.
We all know Angela Lansbury is the classiest Dame currently treading the boards — a fact recently recognized by the American Theatre Wing, which honored her at its annual gala. But fewer people know she was just as charming even as a relatively newly minted star. For a lesson in early Lansbury, take a look at this 1966 clip from the television game show What's My Line?, in which the now five-time Tony winner proves that class and a good sense of humor are ageless. In fact, those traits have served Lansbury so well that she'll soon be taking off on an American tour of Blithe Spirit, the play for which she won a 2009 Tony Award.
