The National Music Theater Network (NMTN) has announced its new season of three concert readings of musicals in development.

The musicals are selected by a panel of directors and guest artistic director Gabriel Barre (Cinderella, Summer of '42). The first of this season's shows will be Dorian Gray by Barry Gordon and Andrew Steven Ross, based on the Oscar Wilde story and reset in the 1960s. It will star Christiane Noll (Jekyll & Hyde) and James Barbour (Jane Eyre), with Joe Machota (Mamma Mia!) appearing in the title character. The reading will be directed by Lynne Taylor-Corbett (Swing!).

The other two musicals to be presented are City of Dreams by Joseph and David Zellnik, which focuses on upper-class social complications in 1889 Vienna; and Dora: Fragment of an Analysis of a Case of Hysteria by Larry Bortniker, a musical love story set at the turn of the 20th century.

Each musical is scheduled for two performances, at 4 and 7pm -- Dorian Gray on February 24, City of Dreams on March 10, and Dora on April 14. The readings will be held at the Lambs Theatre (130 West 44th Street, between Sixth Avenue and Broadway). Tickets are $15 for one show or $40 for all three, and may be purchased by calling 212-664-0979.
