Obie Award-winner David Greenspan will perform his play The Myopia, as well as Plays, a Lecture by Gertrude Stein, for the Foundry Theatre, to run January 6 – February 7 at Atlantic Stage 2.

Greenspan’s Myopia is a comedy about Barclay, who is secretly writing a play about his father Febus, who is struggling to finish a musical about Warren G. Harding. Plays, which is referenced in The Myopia, is Stein’s whimsical, irreverent and rarely seen lecture on theater.

Greenspan will perform The Myopia Wednesday through Sunday evenings and Plays at late afternoon performances on Saturday and Sunday, creating a double-feature of his work.

Greenspan’s plays include the Obie Award-winning The Argument and She Stoops To Comedy along with Old Comedy, The Orphan of Zhao and Dead Mother, or Shirley Not All in Vain. Greenspan is currently featured in The Royal Family on Broadway. Among his other stage credits: Some Men, The Boys in the Band, and Beebo Brinker Chronicles.
