Red Bull Theater's Revelation Readings series continues with David Auburn's brand-new version of Henrik Ibsen's The Wild Duck. Auburn is best known for his Pulitzer Prize-winning play Proof, and his new play, Lost Lake, is now running at New York City Center - Stage I as part of Manhattan Theatre Club's off-Broadway season.

In a blend of realism, symbolism, and romance, the story follows an idealistic son, Hjalmar Ekdal, who exposes his family's corruption. After scandal casts the family into poverty, Ekdal finds himself living in a small, shabby home with his senile father, his wife Gina, his daughter Hedvig — and a duck.

Wendy C. Goldberg directs the world premiere cast, which features Arthur Bartow, Rebecca Brooksher, Kieran Campion, Helen Cespedes, Jon DeVries, Jamie Horton, Stephen Kunken, Caitlin O'Connell, Anna Reichert, and Harris Yulin.

The one-night-only presentation will be held November 17 at 7:30pm at Playwrights Horizons' Peter Jay Sharp Theater.
