New York City rang in the 13th annual Broadway in Bryant Park summer series with some Broadway favorites.
Some of Broadway’s best gathered in the summer heat yesterday to celebrate the kickoff to the 13th annual 106.7 LITE FM’s Broadway in Bryant Park, a free lunchtime summer series featuring performances from Broadway and off-Broadway productions. Emceeing was 106.7 LITE FM personality Helen Little as well as Rick Holmes and Steve Rosen of off-Broadway’s
Peter and the Starcatcher.
On hand to perform were cast members from Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812, Cinderella, Pippin, STOMP, and iLuminate: Artist of Light. The remaining shows will take place every Thursday from July 18-August 15. On tap for next week are performances from Sistas: The Musical, The Phantom of the Opera, F#%king Up Everything, and Chicago — so remember to head out on your lunch hour next Thursday to see some mid-afternoon Broadway, free of charge!
