I’m Just Glad You’re Here, a collection of songs with lyrics by Charlie Sohne, will have a one-night-only performance at the Laurie Beechman Theatre on Monday, October 5.
Celina Carvajal, Sevan Greene, Amy Justman, Jed Resnick, Jodi Stevens, and Mariand Torres are scheduled to perform selections from Sohne’s work, which include the musicals Helen’s, about a woman who opened a gay bar in the 1950s that refused to admit effeminate men, and Cleaner! Faster! Stronger!, about a housewife’s journey toward sexual liberation after the pitchwoman for her favorite cleaning product is outed as a porn star.
