Celina Carvajal, Danielle Lee Greaves, Carrie Manolakos et al. Set for Chix 6

Kelly Carey, Celina Carvajal, Brian Gallagher, Danielle Lee Greaves, Nicolette Hart, Lourds Lane, Carrie Manolakos, Josh Sassanella, Ellenore Paige Scott, Erica Sweany, Molly Tynes and CJ Tyson will star in Chix 6, a new rock musical written by indie rock sensation Lourds Lane. D.J. Salisbury will direct the production at Queens Theatre, September 27-October 30.

The musical tells the story of Katie, a comic book artist trapped in an unhealthy relationship with Jay, a narcissistic musician who will do whatever it takes to get ahead. When Jay’s emotional games become too much to bear, Katie’s creations — a quintet of strong, sassy, superheroines — come to life, leaping off the page to teach the vulnerable artist how to be strong and make changes in her life.

The production will feature sets by Beowulf Borritt, lighting by Ryan O’Gara, projections by David Gallo, costumes by Chris March, and choreography by Ron DeJesus.
