The National Alliance for Musical Theatre has announced the lineup of new musicals set for its 30th Annual Festival of New Musicals, taking place on October 25 and 26 at New World Stages. The festival features eight new musicals presented in 45-minute concert presentations over two days. All production costs are underwritten by NAMT at no cost to the writing teams.

This year's selections are 17 Again (book by Marco Pennette, music and lyrics by Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner), A.D. 16 (book by Bekah Brunstetter, music and lyrics by Cinco Paul), Gun & Powder (book and lyrics by Angelica Chéri, music by Ross Baum), Monstersongs (book, music, and lyrics by Rob Rokicki), Row (book by Daniel Goldstein, music, and lyrics by Dawn Landes), The River Is Me (book and lyrics by Sukari Jones, music by Troy Anthony), The Wicker Husband (book by Rhys Jennings, music and lyrics by Darren Clark), and XY (book, music, and lyrics by Oliver Houser, developed with Hunter Bird).

"Thirty years is a tremendous milestone," said Betsy King Militello, executive director of the National Alliance for Musical Theatre. "For each of those 30 years, our staff and committee has worked tirelessly to encourage, support and nurture the work of musical theater creators from around the world. This year, from over 226 submissions, we've assembled a stellar collection of stories and we are proud to be a catalyst for their development."

Casting for each musical and further programming details will be announced soon.
