Songbird at Two River Theater to Star Kacie Sheik, Felicia Finley, Drew McVety

Two River Theater has announced casting for its production of Michael Kimmel and Lauren Pritchard's musical Songbird, running June 9-July 1.
With a score that blends folk, bluegrass, and pop-country, Songbird drops Chekhov's The Seagull into a bar in Nashville, "where some country music dreams are realized, while others languish on the shelf right next to the whiskey." Gaye Taylor Upchurch directs the production, which features a score by Pritchard and book by Kimmel.
Songbird premiered off-Broadway at 59E59 in fall 2015. Six cast members from that production — Ephie Aardema, Drew McVety, Eric William Morris, Kacie Sheik, Bob Stillman, and Andy Taylor — will take part in this mounting. They will be joined by Felicia Finley, Deon'te Goodman, Kelly Karbacz, and Marrick Smith.
The creative team for Songbird includes music coordinator Kristin Stowell, assistant music director Ada Westfall, scenic designer Jason Sherwood, costume designer Sarah Holden, and lighting designer Aaron Porter. The sound design is by Broken Chord and the dialect coach is Shane Ann Younts.
