Additional casting has been announced for the New York Stage & Film Season at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
Peter Maloney, Kristine Nielsen, Johnny Galecki, Sarah Steele, Kathleen McElfresh, Hannah Cabell, and Eric Bryant will star in a reading of Lewis Black’s Slight Hitch at the Powerhouse Theater as part of its “Inside Look” series, July 17-19. Joe Grifasi will direct this comedy about a wedding gone wrong, starting off with the appearance of one very uninvited guest.
The “Inside Look” series will also include a reading of Ben Snyder’s Shoe Story, directed by Thomas Kail, July 23-25. The cast of this urban fairy tale will include Victor Rasuk, Dominique Morisseau, Angelo Lozada, Ron Simons, Jinn S. Kim, Lucas Papaelias, and Dominic Colon.
The Mainstage series continues at the Martel Theater with Keith Bunin’s Vera Laughed, to be directed by Carolyn Cantor, to run July 22-August 2. The play is set in April 1942 and focuses on a Nobel Prize-winning author living in exile with his wife and mistress. The cast will feature Maureen Anderman, Jeffrey DeMunn, Ana Reeder, Gareth Saxe, Jesse Pennington, Bess Wohl, and Jason Dechert.
