Andrew Long, Randy Reyes, et al. Set for Guthrie Theater’s M. Butterfly

Casting has been announced for the Guthrie Theater‘s revival of David Henry Hwang’s M. Butterfly, to run April 17 – June 6. Peter Rothstein will direct the production.

Hwang’s Tony award-winning play focuses on a French diplomat who falls in love with a Chinese actress who turns out to be not only a spy but a man. The company will feature Andrew Long (Rene Gallimard), Randy Reyes (Song Liling), Tina Chilip (Comrade Chin/Suzuki/Shu-Fang), Nathaniel Fuller (M. Toulon/Judge), Katie Guentzel (Renee/Girl in Magazine), Charity Jones (Helga/Woman at Party), Lee Mark Nelson (Marc/Consul Sharpless), Sherwin F. Resurreccion (Kurogo), Erik Sharp (Kurogo) and Momoko Tanno (Kurogo).

The creative team will include Allen Moyer (scenic design), Linda Cho (costume design), Marcus Dilliard (lighting design), and Scott W. Edwards (sound design).
