National Tour of West Side Story to Launch in Detroit

A national tour of the Broadway revival of West Side Story will launch from the Fisher Theater in Detroit, Michigan in October. A schedule with other cities will be announced soon. No casting for the tour has been announced.
The show, with music by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, has been directed by its two-time Tony Award winning librettist Arthur Laurents with the original Jerome Robbins choreography restaged by Joey McKneely.
The creative team for the production includes James Youmans (scenic design), David C. Woolard (costume design), Howell Binkley (lighting design), and Dan Moses Schreier (sound design).
