Jeff Daniels’ New Play Best of Friends Announces Cast, Creative Team

Cast and creative team have been announced for
actor and playwright Jeff Daniels‘ new play Best of Friends at The Purple Rose Theatre Company in Chelsea, Michigan. The production, which will run October 14-December 18, will be directed by Guy Sanville.

The world premiere comedy is set in a small Michigan town, and paints a startling, yet familiar picture of two married couples as they navigate the minefield of their friendship until it blows up in their faces.

The cast includes Matthew David, Alex Leydenfrost, Michelle Mountain, and Rhiannon Ragland. The production will feature sets by Vincent Mountain, costumes by Sally L. Converse-Doucette, lighting by Dana White, and sound by Quintessa Gallinat.

The Purple Rose’s 2010-2011 season will also include the world premieres of Corktown by Michael Brian Ogden (January 20-March 5), Some Couples May… by Carey Crim (March 24-May 28), and Consider the Oyster by David MacGregor (June 16-September 3).
