The Legend of Georgia McBride opened Monday, June 11, at Round House Theatre.

Matthew Lopez's play is described as follows: "Facing imminent fatherhood and eviction, strapped-for-cash Elvis impersonator Casey trades in his blue suede shoes and jumpsuit for a more reliable position slinging drinks at a dive bar in Panama City, Florida. When the rundown bar gets a makeover — including fabulous new stage show — in order to attract more customers, Casey gets thrown into a world of stilettos and sequins when one of the drag queens is unable to perform, and he has to learn to love a new style of performance, fast!"

Tom Story directs a cast comprising Zack Powell as Casey, Yesenia Iglesias as Jo, Charlie Kevin as Eddie, Rick Hammerly as Miss Tracy Mills, and Dezi Bing as Jason and Rexy.

The Legend of Georgia McBride features choreography by Matthew Gardiner, scenic design by Misha Kachman, lighting design by Colin K. Bills, costume design by Frank Labowitz, and sound designer by Matthew M. Nielson.

Performances run through July 1.
