Halley Feiffer will star in the Los Angeles premiere of her play A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Gynecologic Oncology Unit at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center of New York City this fall at the Geffen Playhouse. The dark comedy, directed by Trip Cullman, runs September 5-October 8.

Feiffer will be joined by Jason Butler Harner, Eileen T'Kaye, and JoBeth Williams. Set at New York City's Memorial Sloan Kettering, the work tells the story of Karla (Feiffer) and Don (Harner), who find themselves unlikely friends while their ailing mothers share a hospital room.

The production has scenic design by Lauren Helpern, costume design by David Kay Mickelsen, lighting by Matthew Richards, and sound by Darron L. West.
