Go Behind the Scenes at Aladdin Movie, Featuring Clip of New Pasek and Paul Song

The ”Dear Evan Hansen” composers team up with Alan Menken for a new tune.

Disney has released a behind-the-scenes preview of its live-action reboot of Aladdin, and it's filled with great clips. The below video gives us a look at star Mena Massoud singing the Alan Menken-Tim Rice classic "One Jump Ahead," as well as a sneak peek at a brand-new song, "Speechless," written by Menken and Dear Evan Hansen Tony winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

In addition to Massoud and Scott, Aladdin stars Will Smith as the Genie, and Marwan Kenzari as Jafar. Tony nominee Billy Magnussen also joins as Prince Anders, a new role created for the film. Guy Ritchie directs, with a screenplay by John August.

Aladdin was originally released in 1992, featuring music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice. The stage musical Aladdin opened at Broadway's New Amsterdam Theatre on March 20, 2014, with Jonathan Freeman reprising his original performance as Jafar. The production earned five Tony nominations, including Best Musical and Best Original Score.
