Based on Chazz Palminteri's acclaimed solo show and subsequent 1993 film, A Bronx Tale is set against the backdrop of racial strife and organized crime in the 1960s as an Italian-American teenager must choose between the father who raised him and the mob-boss father figure who fascinates him. The musical premiered in February 2016 at Paper Mill Playhouse, followed by a Broadway transfer that opened December 1, 2016, at the Longacre Theatre.

Directed by four-time Tony winner Jerry Zaks and Oscar winner Robert De Niro, the production features a book by Palminteri, music by Tony and Oscar winner Alan Menken, lyrics by Glenn Slater, and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.

The tour of A Bronx Tale will begin in Rochester, New York, on October 14, and will have an official press opening at the Hollywood Pantages in Los Angeles on November 8.
