Playwright Clare McIntyre Dies at 57

Playwright Clare McIntyre has died of multiple sclerosis, according to a report in The Guardian. She was 57.

McIntyre’s plays include I’ve Been Running, Love Level Panic, which won the Samuel Beckett award, My Heart’s a Suitcase, for which she won the Evening Standard’s most promising playwright award, and The Thickness of Skin, which was recently presented in New York at the Barrow Group Theatre.

Her other credits include writing for television’s EastEnders and Castles and radio plays, such as Walls of Silence and Noisy Bodies.
