Kneehigh Theatre Company’s production of Hansel & Gretel will play the Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, according to Whatsonstage.com. The holiday engagement will run December 16-January 1. Mike Shepard will direct, with design by Michael Vale.
This reimagining of the Brothers’ Grimm fairy tale, appropriate for both children and adults, will star Chris Price and Joanna Holden in the title roles, along with Carl Grose, Edith Tankus, Teej Holmes, and Benji Bower.
Kneehigh’s production of Brief Encounter is currently playing Broadway’s Studio 54. The company’s adaptation of The Red Shoes will play Brooklyn’s St. Ann’s Warehouse in the spring.
