Noel Sullivan will assume the role of Galileo in We Will Rock You, playing at the West End’s Dominion Theatre, on February 20. He will succeed Alex Gaumond, who will play his final performance on February 18.

Sullivan has played the role previously during the U.K. tour of the show. Among his other theater credits are Fame, Grease, Flashdance, and Simply Ballroom. In addition, he has performed as a solo artist throughout the U.K., and was a member of the band Hear’Say.

Sullivan will join a company that also includes Lauren Samuels as Scaramouche, Brenda Edwards as Killer Queen, Kevin Kennedy as Pop, Rachel John as Meat, Alasdair Harvey as Khashoggi, and Wayne Robinson as Britney.

The musical has a book by Ben Elton and features 32 of Queen’s greatest hits including “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”, “Under Pressure”, “Radio Gaga,” and, “We Will Rock You.” The production is directed by Elton, choreographed by Arlene Phillips, and designed by Mark Fisher and Willie Williams.

Set in the future, the show tells the story of a world in which globalization has meant the death of real music in favor of computer-produced cyber stars, a status quo which the rebel Bohemians are trying to overthrow so that they can write and perform their own music.
