Danny Burstein, Ron Raines Join Linda Lavin, Jan Maxwell, Elaine Paige, Bernadette Peters, et al. in Kennedy Center’s Follies

Danny Burstein will play Buddy Plummer and Ron Raines will play Benjamin Stone in Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman’s Follies, to run May 7 – June 19 in the Eisenhower Theatre at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Eric Schaffer will direct the production.

Burstein and Raines complete the principal casting, which will also include, as previously announced, Bernadette Peters as Sally Durant Plummer, Jan Maxwell as Phyllis Rogers Stone, Elaine Paige as Carlotta Campion, Régine as Solange LaFitte, Rosalind Elias as Heidi Schiller, Florence Lacey as Sandra Crane, Linda Lavin as Hattie Walker, David Sabin as Dimitri Weismann, Susan Watson as Emily Whitman, Terrence Currier as Theodore Whitman, and Terri White as Stella Deems.

The production will feature choreography by Warren Carlyle. James Moore will serve as music director and will conduct the 28-piece Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra, which will use Jonathan Tunick’s original orchestrations. The creative team will also include scenic designer Derek McLane, costume designer Gregg Barnes, and lighting designer by Natasha Katz.
