Chris D’Arienzo’s Barry Munday, with Jean Smart, Patrick Wilson, et al. to Bow at Southwest Film Festival

Chris D’Arienzo’s Barry Munday will debut at the Southwest Film Festival with a screening on March 13 at 1:30pm.

D’Arienzo has both written and directed the movie, which centers on a suburban wanna-be ladies man, who wakes up in the hospital after being attacked in a movie theater, only to realize that he is missing his testicles. His life is further complicated when he learns he’s facing a paternity lawsuit from a woman he can’t remember having sex with.

The cast of the film includes Patrick Wilson, Judy Greer, Chloe Sevigny, Jean Smart, Malcolm McDowell, Cybill Shepherd, and Billy Dee Williams.

D’Arienzo wrote the book for the musical Rock of Ages, currently playing a the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Broadway, which he will adapt and direct as a film for New Line Cinema.
