Rob Ruggiero to Continue as Interim Artistic Director of TheaterWorks as Executive Director Steve Campo Steps Down

TheaterWorks founder Steve Campo has stepped down from his current position of executive director, effective immediately. Campo, who has guided the company’s artistic and business functions since its 1985 inception, has been on medical leave since December 2011.
Rob Ruggiero, currently the theater’s interim artistic director, will continue serving in that position until a new artistic director is in place.
As previously reported, the 2012-2013 TheaterWorks season will include Venus in Fur by David Ives, Almost Maine by John Cariani, The Mountaintop by Katori Hall, Time Stands Still by Donald Margulies, and a fifth play to be announced.
