Ed Furman and TJ Shanoff’s Rush Limbaugh: The Musical! will premiere at Second City in Chicago in February, running Tuesday and Wednesday nights on the theater’s e.t.c. stage. Matt Hovde will direct the production.

The production imagines teenage confrontations with Hilary Clinton and Barney Frank and includes other characters such as Ann Coulter, Karl Rove, and Donald Rumsfeld. The score for the show will feature parodies of songs from Broadway musicals such as Spring Awakening, Wicked, and Rent.

The cast will feature Mark Sutton in the title role along with Karla Beard, Bumper Carroll, Cayne Collier, Colleen Murray, and Kevin Sciretta.

Furman and Shanoff created Rod Blgojevich Superstar!, the often extended spoof of the disgraced former governor of Illinois, which was also directed by Hovde.
