The Harris Theater for Music and Dance has announced its 2010-2011 season programming, which will include appearances by John Waters, Alan Cumming, and Laurie Anderson.

Waters will be appearing as part of the theater’s Broadway Series and will be offering a single performance of A John Waters Christmas on December 14. Cumming will also be appearing for one night only, performing his acclaimed I Bought a Blue Car Today concert on March 21.

Anderson’s performance of Delusion (January 11), a series of short mystery plays, will be presented as part of the theater’s At the Harris performance series, which will also include an appearance by the Sphinx Chamber Orchestra (October 18).

Other programming at the Harris will include Mark Morris Dance Group’s Romeo & Juliet, On Motifs of Shakespeare (February 25-27) and Philip Glass’ The Seasons Project (October 24), featuring the Venice Baroque Orchestra. This piece juxtaposes Glass’ new work – Violin Concerto No. 2: The American Four Seasons – with its inspiration, the Vivaldi classic The Four Seasons.

The season will also feature performances by violinist Gidon Kremer (November 6) and pianist Gabriela Montero (February 4), as well as such performance companies as Lar Lubovitch Dance Company (September 22-23), Ballet Hispanico (November 5), and Pilobolus Dance Theatre (January 28-29)
