The York Theatre announced the full cast for the musical Truly, Howard Hughes, featuring a score by James Scully, a book by Frank Evans, Jennifer Paulson-Lee, and Scully, and lyrics by Evans and Chad Gorn. Directed and choreographed by Paulson-Lee, the production will run at the York Theatre, located at Theatre at St. Jean’s, September 9-October 4, with an opening night on September 17.

Truly, Howard Hughes is an unconventional love story following aviator, filmmaker, businessman, and recluse Howard Robard Hughes, Jr. The story unfolds as Hughes revisits his life during his final moments.

The production stars Sean MacLaughlin as Howard Hughes, alongside Brenda Braxton as Rita Randolph, Matthew Eby as Boy Howard, David Elder as Noah Dietrich, Eric Michael Gillet as Howard Hughes Sr., Jill Paice as Allene Hughes, Madison Claire Parks as Ella Botts Rice, Abby Church as Katharine Hepburn, Melvin Tunstall as Glenn, Dana Winkle as Aunt Annette, Candice Hatakeyama as Nadine Henley, Antonio Beverly as Charles, and James Judy as Uncle Rupert.

The ensemble includes Bryan Hunt, Harrison Drake, and Kelly Sheehan.

The production features musical direction and arrangements by Scott Cady, orchestrations by Doug Besterman, scenic design by Anne Mundell, costume design by Vanessa Leuck, lighting design by Anthony Pearson, sound design by Peter Brucker, projection design by Adam J. Thompson, props design by Thomas Jenkeleit, and wig, hair, and makeup design by J.J. Janas.
