Cirque du Soleil's Paramour to Release Cast Album

The new musical will be immortalized on disc.

Cirque du Soleil's Broadway musical Paramour will be immortalized on a cast recording to be released later this summer. The album will be recorded on June 29 and 30, and will contain 10 songs from the show, written by Bob & Bill and Andreas Carlsson. It will be distributed by the Sony imprint RED.

Staged by French director Philippe Decouflé, the musical production is a blend "the best of Broadway with Cirque du Soleil's signature style." Paramour is set in Golden Age Hollywood, where a young poet is forced to choose between love and art.

Paramour stars Jeremy Kushnier, Ruby Lewis, and Ryan Vona in lead roles. Joining them are Tom Ammirati, Andrew Atherton, Kevin Atherton, Lee Brearley, Yanelis Brooks, Sam Charlton, Martin Charrat, Nate Cooper, Katrina Cunningham, Myriam Deraiche, Kyle Driggs, Jeremias Faganel, Amber Fulljames, Steven Trumon Gray, Tomasz Jadach, Rafal Kaszubowski, Reed Kelly, Denis Kibenko, Joe McAdam, Raven McRae, Sarah Meahl, Amber J. Merrick, Sheridan Mouawad, Amber Pickens, Justin Prescott, Fletcher Blair Sanchez, Matthieu Sennacherib, Bret Shuford, Blakely Slaybaugh, Sam Softich, Amiel Soicher, Amber van Wijk, Bruce Weber, Tomasz Wilkosz, and Zhengqi Xia (Da Qi).
