The long-running Broadway production of The Phantom of the Opera will welcome a pair of new cast members beginning Monday, April 4, at the Majestic Theatre.

Rebecca Eichenberger, who played the role of opera diva Carlotta for more than 700 performances from 2001-03, will return to the show, this time in the role of mysterious ballet mistress Madame Giry. She replaces Linda Balgord, who has been with the show since 2013.

Four-time Grammy Award winner John Easterlin will make his Broadway debut in the role of opera tenor Ubaldo Piangi. He succeeds cast member Christian Šebek, who has played the role more than 1,500 times since joining the Broadway production in September 2011.

In Phantom milestone news, long-running Carlotta, Michele McConnell, recently played her 1,701st performance in the role, becoming the actress to play the opera diva for the longest time in the Broadway production. She continues with the company, alongside James Barbour (the Phantom), Julia Udine (Christine), Jeremy Hays (Raoul), Laird Mackintosh (Monsieur André), Craig Bennett (Monsieur Firmin), Kara Klein (Meg Giry), and Rachel Zatcoff (Christine Alternate).
