Flashback Friday: Audra McDonald Sings the Answers to Questions on Yahoo

The six-time Tony winner is back on Broadway in a non-singing dramatic role in Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune.

Six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald is back on Broadway in a nonsinging dramatic role opposite Michael Shannon in a revival of Terrence McNally's Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune. Most theatergoers, however, arguably know and love McDonald best for her vocals, with the actor picking up Tonys for her performances in productions of musicals like Carousel, Ragtime, The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, and Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill.

To celebrate her return to the Great White Way, then, we unearthed a clip from a 2014 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in which McDonald — with host Fallon and, unexpectedly, Josh Charles on the piano — sings something decidedly nonmusical: answers to questions posed on Yahoo.
