Eddie Jemison to Make Broadway Debut as Ogie in Waitress

Waitress has announced that Eddie Jemison will make his Broadway debut as Ogie from February 11 to April 28. Jemison played the role in the 2007 Adrienne Shelly film on which the Sara Bareilles musical is based. A veteran of the Chicago theater scene, he has also appeared in the films Ocean's Eleven, Twelve, and Thirteen, and the HBO TV series Hung, among other credits.

Waitress opened at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on April 24, 2016, earning Tony nominations for Best Musical and Best Original Score. The musical features music and lyrics by Bareilles, a book by Jessie Nelson, and direction by Diane Paulus.

The production currently stars Bareilles and Gavin Creel, in addition to Charity Angél Dawson, Lenne Klingaman, Ben Thompson, Larry Marshall, Benny Elledge, Mariam Bedigan, Tyrone Davis Jr., Law Terrell Dunford, Andrew Fitch, London Skye Gilliam, Molly Hager, Tiffany Denise Hobbs, Jessie Hooker-Bailey, Molly Jobe, Brandon Kalm, Dan Tracy, and Stephanie Torns.
