Roundabout Theatre Company has announced that its world premiere of Theresa Rebeck's Bernhardt/Hamlet, starring Janet McTeer as Sarah Bernhardt, will extend for one week at American Airlines Theatre. Directed by Moritz von Stuelpnagel, it will now run through November 18.
Rebeck's new Roundabout-commissioned play is a comedy set against a lavish Shakespearean production that could make or break Bernhardt's career. The creative team includes Beowulf Boritt (set design), Toni-Leslie James (costume design), Bradley King (lighting design), and Fitz Patton (original music and sound design).
