Amy Spanger, Allison Case, and More to Join Broadway's Matilda the Musical

The New York production of Matilda The Musical will welcome a host of Broadway favorites in principal roles beginning September 8 at the Shubert Theatre.
Joining the company are Amy Spanger (Rock of Ages) as Mrs. Wormwood, Allison Case (Fly By Night) as Miss Honey, Rick Holmes (The Visit) as Mr. Wormwood, and Natalie Venetia Belcon (Avenue Q) as Mrs. Phelps. They join Christopher Sieber as Miss Trunchbull, and the four girls sharing the title role: Mattea Conforti, Rileigh McDonald, Mimi Ryder, and Alexandra Vlachos.
Matthew Warchus directs the musical, which originated in London. It is based on the beloved children's novel by Roald Dahl and features a score by Tim Minchin and a Tony-winning book by Dennis Kelly.
The production has sets and costumes by Rob Howell, with choreography by Peter Darling, orchestrations, additional music and musical supervision by Christopher Nightingale, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, and sound by Simon Baker.
