Alli Mauzey to Replace Jennifer Simard in Broadway's Hello, Dolly!

Broadway vet Alli Mauzey (Cry-Baby) will replace Jennifer Simard in the Tony-winning revival of Hello, Dolly! beginning Tuesday, March 23. Simard played her final performance as Ernestina on March 18.

Mauzey has been seen as Glinda in Wicked, Lenora in Cry-Baby, for which she received a Theatre World Award, and Brenda in Hairspray. Her additional credits include the Encores! productions of The Golden Apple and It’s a Bird…It’s a Plane…It’s Superman, as well as Show Boat with the New York Philharmonic and Red Eye of Love.

Directed by Jerry Zaks and choreographed by Warren Carlyle, Hello, Dolly! is based on Thornton Wilder's The Matchmaker and features a book by Michael Stewart and music from Jerry Herman. The current Broadway cast is led by Bernadette Peters as Dolly Gallagher Levi and Victor Garber as Horace Vandergelder.
